Smokeless sawdust charcoal
1.Quality of sawdust charcoal
Quality of sawdust charcoal largely depends on:
- Sawdust selection sawdust is selected and bought on market: sawdust from Apitong, Tali... will produce much better quality than the one sawn from acacia trees or unidentified dusts
- Moisture of billets moisture of sawdust will determine the quality and solidity of charcoal later, optmized moisture should be 2-3%
- Solidity of billets depeding on moisture of sawdust while compressing and technology of compressing
Here are some images about sawdust, billets:

2.Criteria to determine quality of sawdust charcoal
Here are criteria to determine quality of a charcoal
-Percentage of carbonization: when wood is burned anaerobically for many days, it is called carbonization process. Purpose of this process is to eliminate Xenluloza, lignin and contaminants...which cause smoke.
The higher % of carbonization, the better quality of the charcoal and no smoke at all when grilling.
Normally it is obove 80% for exporting
-Total calorific value: when the higher value of this indicator, the more heat it will emit to the environment...saving cost. Normally it is above 7200 kcal/kg for exporting.
–Hours of burning: this is an important indicator because it involves cooking, grilling costs. With traditional charcoal it will last only 1.5-3 hours while smokeless charcoal will last more than 6 hours
–Other indicators: moisture, ash. For exam: 5% ash content, 100 tons of charcoal burned it will release 5 tons of ash and affecting environment
Here is our Test result from the international Lab (SGS), No.1 in Vietnam:

On the market, there are plenty of sawdust charcoals which are made from growing wood and without test result. Customers should consider between quality and price.
3. Real burning charcoal test
Video test on charcoal about cracking when burning, calorific value, duration of burning (very good), no smoke, etc.

Comparison table of charcoals
