White charcoal
Charcoal after carbonized at high temperature (after 8 days), take out of the furnace, cooling down naturally and see a white coating on surface of charcoal, we call White Charcoal.
White charcoal is a clean-smokeless charcoal with highest quality, most expensive and usually imported by developing countries.
Reasons White charcoal is more expensive than Sawdust charcoal or others because It is made from wide wood trunks more than 6 years old. And more, White charcoal with carbonization level is very high (up to 95%) and almot no contaminants.
Grilling meat by white charcoal, meat will keep its own original taste, bring best taste for food, meat.
Traits to recognize good Charcoal:
When knocking 2 pieces of White charcoals, there is a sound ' keng keng' so it is a trait of good White charcoal, it is also able to conduct electricity due to high density of carbonization. The whiter the coating of the surface, the better the charcoal is.
Heat emission of White charcoal is at high level compared to other Smokeless charcoals, It also lasts longer (up to 7-8 hours).
So, White Charcoal is usually imported by developing countries like Japan, Korea, Middle east...

How white charcoal is made?
Wood trunks: more solid, older the better the white charcoal is.
1st of all, trunks to be sawed into smaller pieces around 35-45 cm long (as image). Those new pieces to be put in furnaces, neatly arranged, then burn anaerobically for 7-8 consecutive days.
Till the 8th day, burn with normal air at high temperature at more than 1300 degrees celcius, immediately put into steel drums with covers to avoid humidity. Cooling down over time, we put those charcoals into carboxes with wrapping vinyl inside.
Caution: this kind of charcoal should avoid moisture absolutely all the time.
